/punk/ general Anonymous Comrade 07/23/2020 (Thu) 06:29:09 No. 12555
ITT we talk about anything related to punk, hardcore, and any subgenres of punk and hardcore.
>>12555 is PUNK counter revolutionary?
>>12562 Not any more than any other cultural activity. I'd say punk is about as minimally counterrevolutionary as you could possibly have as a cultural movement not inherently tied to a political party. Though squatting, having fun and playing music of course isn't going to bring the revolution. That does not mean that the culture isn't mostly anarchist, involves a lot of great people, cultural avant-garde, people who would show up to beat up nazis and/or riot when a national bourgeoisie does something reactionary. Dada, surrealism, punk, situationists, détournement, anarchism, autonomism!
Which sub-genres do you listen to the most? In 'regular' punk rock I punk jazz, post-punk and no wave With HC I like thrash-, early grind- and jazzcore, as well as powerviolence

Anyone watch Burst City? It's a Japanese cyberpunk rock movie with The Stalin in it
>In 1989 during Operation Just Cause, the US military surrounded the Apostolic Nunciature in Panama while trying to capture Manuel Noriega, the strongman of Panama. US forces blasted loud rock music—including "I Fought the Law" by the Clash—to put pressure on Noriega to give himself up. What the fuck
