If you want to learn about the Russian Revolution, the gold standard is the History of the Russian Revolution by Trotsky. Additionally, Trotsky's Lessons of October is a shorter piece that makes puts the victory of the Bolsheviks in it's proper political context and makes clear that it was a genuine struggle Lenin had to lead to win the RSDLP(b) over to taking power in the first place when he returned from exile.
There's also John Reed's 10 Days that Shook the World that's good for the Russian Revolution, the movie Tsar to Lenin, the movie Reds (about John Reed's life).
