i hang around the end page of boards here to do some archiving. My problem is that i have this ocd-adhd (idk what it is) thing that makes it so that it's impossible to archive thing since everytime i open my own file i always worry (and believe) that

i also have 500+ video archive. and i have other archives. this is the main reason i make the thread. atleast IBs thread archive have thing that made me less paranoid. unlike video archive. whenever i try to view the video in the archive i always be paranoid and believe that i mess/change/deleted the video or other part of the archive somehow.

I'm glad I'm not the only one that thinks like this. OP, it is paranoia. On Linux, you can just chmod -R 444 /yourarchivedirectory.

If you're really worried, just back up your folder. You can try time machine, or something for windows. Also sometimes the file system you use can be used to keep snapshots, like APFS, btrfs, not sure about windows.

With that, you don't have to worry about losing your data.
