Move to an economically-depressed low-cost region with all of the money you've made. You don't have enough money to start your own business, but you can at least finally own a home by living in bumsfuck Alabama. Congrats on having 200-400k USD.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/West_VirginiaIf you need someplace central.
https://www.redfin.com/state/MississippiIf you want someplace poor, but livable.

France, not Paris, but smaller cities like Lyon, is also an option and French is relatively easy for English speakers.
Germany is yet another option, but the language is more difficult (but not by far).

>>1799887>>1799883>>1799892Wouldn't I be doing to someone else exactly what has happened to me? Moving in and taking someone else's opportunity?
No.1799910
>>1799909Not really? That would happen regardless of where you lived, there would be one less house to live in… But so what, you need to live somewhere. Besides you would move out of your rented place wherever you live now so the pressure on rent prices going up would slightly decrease.
No.1799917
>>1799910Sorry, I guess I'm just not myself right now. That makes sense.
Thanks everyone, I will look into a cheaper location. Moving is kind of scary though, I've been in the same city for most of my life. I really dislike money and having to participate in markets, I don't have need for much else other than books and a computer and a quiet place. I was talking with banks the last few weeks looking into mortgages and basically can't get anything that would cover places here. It's like the system is designed to force you to work forever.
No.1799921
>>1799917I'm sorry you're dealing with this anon, don't worry, you'll figure it out. Living outside the big metropoles isn't so bad, there's just a bit less events and things to go to, but if you don't go out much anyway it hardly makes much difference.

For that money you can essentially retire in luxury.

Move to Spain or Italy. You can get a large and beautiful house for pittance in rural areas. The only problem is both of those countries are pretty corrupt and you need to do a lot of paperwork.

Try to get social housing.
I live in a heavily gentrified city and its what I did. Was fucked before but now my rents so good I don't even have to work 5days a week.

How are they going to get a visa genius?
You can't just turn up In Thai and say 'I shall live here now" that's not how it works retard.
And if you're talking about buying its very unlikely you will even be legally able to buy property as a Westerner.

>I don't remember the exact number or the details of property ownership,Buying property is rightly very strict for foreigners. The buy in is big buisness numbers in the bank account not retirement numbers.
Both things are also contingent on your passported country so it entirely depends where OP is from.

The sense of dread when someone is in my vicinity when I'm trying to relax.Anon this is less to do with capitalism and more to do with you. Working closely with others is the only way to bring about change. Create a mental utopia that includes your community ffs, not the bullshit forever alone psyop.

I sleep and feel immensely better in rural single family housing.
