The Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) in the USA has developed a new autonomous tank called the RHP as part of its RACER program. This tank can travel at speeds up to 50 km/h through challenging terrains without human assistance. DARPA aims for it to support a fleet of smaller autonomous robots in military operations. The tank features intimidating green lights, but their main function is to indicate its self-driving mode. While the RHP is impressive, the final product is still in development.

The very fact that Lazerpig STILL claims that "russha iz running out of shells" and "muh aircraft losses" is indicative of his deep-set NAFO-ass-sniffing. Most of the video is basically going over the history of the Challenger II and basically says that "we don't know what Chobham is made of so we can't know the real protection, ignoring the massive gap in armor at the driver's hatch and the fact that this same argument can be used to also say that the real protection of the tank is LOWER than commonly claimed as well.
The comedic thesis Lazerpig brings up in the video is that the Challenger 2 act's as mobile artillery (it's shells and indirect fire range is shit) and the claim that its presence (fucking where lol?) reduces the capability for Russia to target it (Ukraine) with drones or missile systems has increased its importance in the current conflict. Nevermind that we've seen and heard NOTHING about the Challenger II's impact on the battlefield, but we sure as hell have seen them get taken out with drones, ATGMs and artillery, while getting stuck in mud during on-camera training.
>The Russians are reportedly hesitant to come out and fight Western designs, preferring to stay at a distance and only engage if the defending forces are using Soviet-built models. This reluctance may be due to a fear of having combat footage leaked online, as well as a tactical advantage in not engaging with tanks designed to counter their own.
This section was genuinely funny considering that T-72s have taken out both Abrams and Leopard II tanks because at least those ones are actually BEING USED on the front instead of driving around and getting stuck in the mud behind the lines for attempted propaganda.

I think that Lazerpig released this video because of the scandalous demonstration of Abrams and Leopard II tanks in Moscow this May and how viral it is on the internet. So TL;DR: /k/ope about the Challenger II is a roundabout bigger seethe over Russia dunking on Western AFVs.

Btw, I've lost around 6 kgs since August and put on a lot of muscle. Most of the weight lost and muscle gained have been since February. I'm way way more capable of managing my diet and calorie intake. It has taken a lot to gain the understanding of things that now seem basic. Like eating protein is good for weight loss, the key to weight loss is calorie in calorie out, etc.

I injured my rotator cuff, but in general everything is going quite well. I'm doing a cut and in a few more weeks I'll have the least amount of body fat I've had for decades, and I'm already the most muscular I've ever been.

Things are going great 👍 inshallah they'll just keep getting better.

My dumb ass just figured out the other day I can do rows with resistance bands like picrel instead of standing on the band and bent-over. I'm cutting so lower weight and more reps will help burn more calories and require less recovery/healing (at least that's the idea).

You will be ok if you start at a beginner weight instead of doing like crossfit bozos. If you can't find a buddy to correct your form, you can set up your phone camera to record and compare to a demonstration video. Some wise people have said that you are served well if you start by squatting just the bar and focusing on perfecting the form before adding weight.

New Cave Story-like has dropped.
So far I am enjoying it a lot. Sound design is really good. The animals are either really cute or really uncanny. There's a spooky atmosphere. I don't know whats going on but I think the animals are ghosts because they disappear in light sources. It's really open ended and you just sort of wander around until you get stuck. Upgrades are REALLY fun so far (not in that they change much about how you traverse the world or anything just that they are fun to use and funny). The game is like looking at an animal at night and they make a growling noise and you think its a wild boar when its just a goat.

It's a metroidvania but where you don't have to do the levels in a specific order. You might have to come back later to get some hidden stuff. I think some of the secrets require items you don't get in that level. I got the bubble wand first and it trivialized a couple platforming puzzles in other areas.

In light of post >>24657 it's surprising that there are few doujin's exploring Quirks in the same role of sexual or even mundane uses. There are some mundane mentions in the canon (such as Mitsuki's Glycerin quirk being used in her job) but it's very sparing, even considering the subplot of (self)harmful or useless quirks that gets brought up in the story on occasion. Quirks don't really have the restrictions Devil Fruits do either, so theoretically you could make up any sexual super-power and it would be permissible, because there seems to essentially be a no-limits-fallacy for powers and more than one person has similar or the same quirk as another person (not to mention multiple quirks being able to artificially inserted). And yet doujin's and mangaka surprisingly do not take advantage of it, or they only use the most basic shit (like a bigger penis, or utilizing Froppy's tongue). The possibilities are endless, especially since there exist quirk abilities that can manipulate people on a molecular and genetic level with relative ease and little to no need for special equipment like microscopes or surgical tools. Or hell, skip the molecular manipulation when characters seem to be able to transform themselves or transform objects and people a la TG/TF like fucking magic. I want to say it's a Japanese thing, where they have the same standard set of basic fetish-stuff because the characters may as well be cosplay. A lot of Western adult illustrators/fans really branch out (the Ben 10 Franchise for example). The Nomu alone have a lot to 'play' with, especially with the debut of the "female" Nomu and their multiple quirk nature. There's barely any content images or fanfiction and most of that is Western.

Is it good or bad? On one hand it's such a corporate thing to do that goes against the authors' vision just so people don't turn away from something outside of their comfort zone and prevents people from experiencing the work the way the authors intended. But on the other hand the adaptation may contribute some nifty ideas in return like that funny Crash's dance.

In my opinion all countries should be allowed to contribute ideas while not substituting them, like in an open-source project. I don't think the author is some 300 IQ big brain who knows better than everyone else, death of the author still applies. Plus, it doesn't mean that the ideas contributed aren't something the author doesn't find interesting. In fact, authors listen to feedback and borrow ideas all the time.

I’m playing far cry 2 with redux+ realism and I’m amazed by the level of immersion and sense of control I have over my time with it. The mod fully disables all in-game features to assist the players availing to navigate the map meaning your paper map and some screens showcasing your location is all you get to figure out where to go. I’ve navigated my way through several missions off my own accord, having to learn to be patient with outposts, run the fuck away from anything that looks like trouble and fight with barely any ammo is such a unique experience you can’t create in so many games. The world itself even without mods is beautiful and every hour I spend playing makes me feel like I’m genuinely apart of it, something you wouldn’t typically get from a non roleplaying game.

Next order of business, assassination mission taking place surprisingly in Pala. Good thing too, because right before accepting it I ran out of meds, not sure what would happen if I got malaria attack without them, but I dont feel like finding out. So I took a bus back to Pala, shot a guy with silence pistol, dont think anyone saw us, but it still triggered everyone around hostile. Took a car and drove outside of ceasefire zone, then immediately returned back like nothing happened. Went to see the priest for more malaria medication, he gave me passports for some civilians wanting to leave country. I was to deliver them to a safehouse, conveniently close to a bus station, almost died there again to a car patrol, got my medicine.

Gun shop mission next. This time I forgot to equip IED, so I had to improvise. At the checkpoint through with weapon convoy I was to destroy passes I parked two jeeps in the middle of the road and rolled a fuel barrel next to them. When the convoy came, shot the barrel, blew them all to hell.

At Mikes Bar I picked a buddy mission from my BFF, to kill two drug dealer pushing product on children. Easy enough, one was just standing in some checkpoint, got a clean shot on him, another at the airfield, less clean, but still easy.

Afterwards I wanted to return to working for UFLL, but I they wont even let me inside their HQ, apparently I locked myself into APR questline by taking their previous job. Sad. When I entered APR headquarters, I overheard their leaders talking about using a "help poor african children suffering dysentery" commercial to collect donations for themselves. Their mission for me is "go destroy natural gas tanks UFLL is using to pay for medicine". This is who I am stuck with. Also met a new mercenary lieutenant working for APR, classy looking British gentleman.

BFF called once again, she wanted to meat near the train yard where gas tanks are located. There she tasked me with removing a UFLL commander at nearby ranch getting entrepreneurial with children, who is in some way connected with the gas tanks, dont remember exactly what she said, but basically killing him would result in entire train full of UFLL soldiers coming after me when I blow up the tank. Assassination itself was simple, not many hiding spots at the ranch from my sniper rifle. Although the commander did take me by surprise by pulling a MAC on me, he was dressed in civilian clothing so I didnt expect him to be armed. After being done with that I assaulted train yard and blew up gas tanks. My BFF intercepted the soldier train that was supposed to come after me, I ran to assist her, didnt even need to this time, by the time I got there there I only had opportunity to shoot one guy, all the other ones were already dead.

Signed up for another gun shop mission, forgot to equip IED yet again, so I just parked jeep on the road and gunned the convoy down with its machine gun, wont do that again though, almost got killed.

Finally picked a mission from Warren Clyde, my I guess second best buddy, surprisingly didnt get downed once during this entire playthrough so I dont even know, wants me to blow up some kind of gas or oil pipe the factions are using for funding the war.

People credit Vaas with starting the trend of charismatic Far Cry villains, but as I replay through it its becoming obvious that Far Cry 2 was the blueprint, with Jackal and his philosophizing about the nature of men. He is more of a protagonist of the story than player character is, certainly the one with most impact on it, player being basically just some asshole filling his pockets with blood diamonds and making no difference whatsoever. I love how both mechanically and thematically the game keep hammering in how much players actions make no difference, such a pleasant contrast to constant backpatting other game in the series (and well, video games in general I suppose) keep lavishing players with.

So made my way to the Fishing village for the buddy mission, the fuel wasnt even in the village itself but on an lake island nearby, easy, next got another predecessor tape from the airport, this was my third time assaulting it, trivial, singed up for assassination mission which took me back to Fishing village, this time actually had to scour through it to find the target, intense firefight ensured. The target almost downed me halfway across village with a submachine gun, idk if his RNG lucked out or special NPCs have improved accuracy.
Also found out enemies can drop golden AKs, probably a quirk of a mod, in base game there should be only 4 of them hidden across the map. Not that they are of any use.

Another APR mission, this time met a Yankee stereotype lieutenant who wants me to blow up UFLL vehicle repair station. My buddy Michele requested that before I get to that, I am to acquire map of secret fuel truck routes, which will allow her to destroy them so they can be used for war anymore.

Died. Finished the APR mission, then got one to help refugees in exchange for malaria medicine. First time I actually had to restart because the game bugged and after killing the enemies it didnt unlock the underground safehouse with refugees, on second try I acted like a moron and sneaked around instead of snipping from a distance and got gunned down.

I am actually distraught right now, this game has been the one enjoyable thing in my life I looked forward to among all the fucking responsibilities and work.

Thanks, probably won't continue. I was excited to write it but I've never done anything like it before.

I was going to call the story 'The Death Of John Smith'. It was vaguely inspired by The Madness Of Hercules.

The plot was going to revolve around a husband's murder of his wife, split into two narratives.

The first narrative would be his release from prison after serving a life sentence and his struggle thereafter. I was going to send him through the stages of grief, and eventually he would suffer a psychotic break as he experiences hallucinations of his dead wife speaking to him. The story would end with him being consigned to a psychiatric ward.

The second narrative was going to be the lead up to the murder. I was going to interweave the narratives so that they ran parallel.

I had so many ideas for this. It was going to be about the failure of his struggle to forge an identity seperate from that of a murderer.

The next chapter was going to be about a barbacue in his family home with his wife and daughters, as well as their friends and his mother. The chapter was going to end with him pouring his cup of red wine on a myrtle plant in his backgarden, transfixed with his anger at his wife and invasive paranoid thoughts of her cheating on him. I was going to describe the wine mixing with the soil and appearing as though it were blood (in a vague allusion to a part in the Aeneid).

As I reiterated in >>>/alt_archive/5937 Cameron's recent ventures have given me little faith in him. The same applies to Ridley Scott with his abysmal Alien Covenant and how he essentially killed Neill Blomkamp's Alien 5 attempt by basically pressuring the studio to prioritize his shoddy Prometheus trilogy, dooming a promising sequel that offered an alternate Alien 3 scenario. I bring this up because Alien Romulus is coming out soon and while the teaser doesn't tell me enough about it's quality, the fact that BOTH Ridley Scott and James Cameron not only publicly supported the film (giving me Terminator Genysis/Dark Fate vibes) but also gave input/criticism/advice (i.e. pressure a la Dark Fate) to Director Fede Álvarez, who stated:
>"It’s also fascinating because [Cameron and Scott’s] notes and comments are completely different. (Laughs.) They wouldn’t repeat a note. Whatever Ridley said, Cameron said something different."
Although innocuous in a vaccuum considering the similarities to behind-the-scenes regarding the Alien and Terminator franchises, it makes me wary.

However it's not all doom and gloom. The trailer's atmosphere reminded me of the recent Dark Descent video-game which really embraced the grimdark aspect of xenomorphs. I only hope they don't do shitty, dark lighting, as often happens nowadays, a la AvP: Requiem . Álvarez seems to be genuine about his appreciation for the franchise, though simply saying such things isn't much with how often that claim is used.

The cast has potential although they're a little too young IMO, but we'll see, maybe they're just the survivors while the adults die, or some adult characters may feature as secondary roles.
Isabela Merced is a wonderful actress, playing one of the leading roles, so I have hopes for her. Amara Namani wasn't great in her break-out film Pacific Rim: Uprising, but she wasn't terrible either, I think it was just bad directing that undercut her, so I think she might pull it off, especially with that Ripley visual reference in the trailer. Tommy Collins is also a pretty good actor, being quite real in the roles I've seen.

Maybe it's because, I dunno, a niche series? The fighting system is actually pretty fun, utilizing a rock-paper-scissor approach to attacks, grabs and parries. It's also pretty fast-pased, feels completely different to Tekken or even Virtua Fighter, the game that inspired it. It also popularized environmental destruction, something Tekken later borrowed from it. Also, DOAX is not a fighting game, it's a beach volleyball game. The only good standalone beach volleyball game.

uneducated opinion. DOOM is in the vain of games like Wolfenstein 3D, Daggerfall, or Populous: The Beginning. It is very very low poly 3D environments with explicitly 2D sprites for entities like enemies, weapons, powerups etc.

Cruelty Squad has both 3D environments and 3D entities. the shape and poly count and janky animations of the 3D characters is more reminiscent of something like Morrowind, Goldeneye, GTA 3, Quake, or Tekken 2/3.

It's the capitalist nature of masculinity which ensures a large group of disgruntled and emasculated men exist in times of crisis, and proceed to more and more attempts at violence in order to reclaim their masculinity. It's also the case that state gore workers like cops and soldiers are propagandized as symbols of masculinity.

For the wannabe gore worker incel, my best guess is absurdism. I need to read up on Albert Camus and the rest of the depressed chain smoking Frenchies. But I really resonated with "The Stranger." I also think other nihilist thought like Stirner's Egoism is interesting. I still don't know what it might look like, but absurd masculinities may be an alternative to nihilist necromasculinities.

Anyhow, this is still very exploratory.

And even if, the problem of this people, the issue they worried about, is to find a gf or bf. Its true that there are unrealistic expectations like the love will heal somebody from everything. But in some cases, the knowleade that there is somebody who genuinly care is helpfull to overcome personal crisis.

The ultra masculine dudes are, in my experience, well in terms of relationsships. Even the macho ones.

Protest masculinities include tough guys like bikers and bodybuilders, but also internet tough guys like incels.

Unfortunately, I have not found data I can trust on incels. There is too much sensationalism and incels are extremely online and avoidant. Unfortunately, I can only rely on studies of vaguely similar communities.

There are some good studies of violent authoritarians. And there are good studies of self-injurers. But these only apply to the extent they overlap with incels. Most incels aren't violent to others, and are more avoidant, neurotic and self-injuring. So many of these studies would only apply to the craziest mentalcels.

There is good work on other semi-related communities like autism, porn/kink, fanfic, bodybuilding and anorexia and bulimia communities, but I just haven't done the reading yet there. For context, on how desperate I am on semi-related communities I am considering reading furry sociology.

The two biggest sources I would rely on might be
